" ለተፈናቃዮች ከፌደራል እና ከክልል የመንግስት መስሪያ ቤቶች እንዲሁም ከመንግስታዊ ካልሆኑ ተቋማት ድረስ ቃል የተገባላቸውን የእርዳታ ድጋፍ እስካሁን አላገኙም " - የጠለምት ወረዳ አደጋ መከላከል እና ምግብ ዋስትና ማስተባበሪያ ፅ/ቤት

ባለፈው ዓመት በመሬት መንሸራተት አደጋ ከቤት ንብረታቸው ተፈናቅለው በትምህርት ቤት እና ለገበሬ ማሰልጠኛ ተቋም ተብሎ በተሰራ ቤት ውስጥ የከረሙት ከ150 በላይ የሚሆኑ አባወራዎች በሰሜን ጎንደር ዞን ጠለምት ወረዳ  አብና ቀበሌ ዘንድሮም በከፍተኛ ችግር ውስጥ መሆናቸውን የአብና ቀበሌ ግብርና ፅ/ቤት አስታውቋል።

በጠለምት ወረዳ አብና ቀበሌ ግብርና ፅ/ቤቱ ኃላፊ  አቶ ጀጃው ብርሃኔ ለቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ እንደተናገሩት ባለፈው አመት ነሀሴ 16 ቀን በቀበሌው በደረሰው የመሬት መንሸራተት 10 ሰዎች መሞታቸው አስታውሰው፥ 480 የሚጠጉ አባወራዎች ደግሞ ከቦታው ተነስተው ወደ ትምህርት ቤት እና ወደ ገበሬ ማሰልጠኛ ጣቢያ እንዲቆዩ ተደርገዋል ብለዋል።

አቶ ጀጃው ብርሃኔ በዝርዝር ምን አሉ ?

" ከዚያ በኃላ በወቅቱ የዕለት እርዳታ ከመንግስትም ከግለሰቦችም አግኝተው ነበር፤ ከየካቲት ወር በኃላ እርዳታ የሚባል ነገር አላገኙም በዚያም አብዛኛዎቹ ወደ አጎራባች አካባቢዎች ሄደዋል።

በአሁኑ ሰዓት 150 የሚጠጉ አባወራዎች እጅግ በከፋ ችግር ውስጥ ይገኛሉ የሚበሉት የላቸውም የሚኖሩበት መጠለያም ጠባብ በመሆኑ ለዝናብ ተጋልጠዋል።

ይባስ ብሎ ካለፈው ወር ወዲህ ከረሃብ ጋር በተያያዘ እግራቸው እያበጠ ሰውነታቸው ሽፍታ እያወጣ ነው ስለዚህ በጣም አስቸኳይ መፍትሄ ያስፈልጋቸዋል።

የነበሩበት ቦታ ለጎርፍ ተጋላጭ በመሆኑ ተመልሰው እንዳይሄዱ ተባለ፤ ቤት ለመስራት ቃል የገቡ ድርጅቶች ነበሩ በዚህ መሰረት ወረዳው መሬት መርጦ ቢያዘጋጅም ቃል የገባው አካል ግን እስካሁን አልመጣም " ነው ያሉት።

የጠለምት ወረዳ አደጋ መከላከልና ምግብ ዋስትና ቅድመ ማስጠንቀቂያ ቡድን መሪ አቶ መሰረት ጥላሁን በበኩላቸው ተፈናቃዮቹ አሁን ያሉበት ሁኔታ እጅግ አስከፊ ነው ሲሉ ነው የገለጹት።

" በአንድ ለገበሬ ማሰልጠኛ ተብሎ በተሰራ ቤት ውስጥ እስከ 25 ሰዎች ይኖራሉ እጅግ ተጨናንቀው ነው እየኖሩ ያሉት።ተፈናቃዮቹ ቀድሞ አርሶ አደር ነበሩ ከቀያቸው ከተፈናቀሉ በኃላ ወደ ግብርና ስራቸው እንዲገቡ መሬትና መኖሪያ ስፍራ ይመቻቻል ተባለ ግን ምንም አልተደረገላቸውም አንድ አመት በሙሉ ጥገኛ ነው የሆኑት። ቃል የገቡላቸው መንግስታዊና መንግስታዊ ያልሆኑ ድርጅቶች ቃላቸውም አልጠበቁም " ብለዋል::

የዞኑ አደጋ መከላከልና ምግብ ዋስትና ማስተባበሪያ ፅ/ቤት ኃላፊ አቶ ሰላም ይሁን ሙላት ለተፈናቃዮቹ የምግብ እርዳታ ክልሉ ሲያቀር እንደከረመ ገልፀው የፌደራል ስራ አመራር ኮሚሽን ቤት ሰርቶ እንደሚያስረክባቸው ቃል ቢገባም ቃሉን አመቱን ሙሉ ሳይፈፅመው ቀርቷል ሲሉ ተናግረዋል።

የአማራ ክልል አደጋ ስጋትና ስራ አመራር ኮሚሽን  ኮሚሽነር ዲያቆን ተስፋው ባታብል   ለቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ በሰጡት መልስ የፌደራል አደጋ ስጋትና ስራ አመራር ኮሚሽን ቃሉን አላጠፈም አሁንም የተገባውን ቃል ለመፈፀም አብረን እየሰራን ነው ብለዋል።

ቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ ተጎጂዎችን በስልክ ለማነጋገር ጥረት ቢያደርግም ተፈናቃዮቹ ያሉበት አካባቢ የስልክ ግንኙነት ባለመኖሩ በቀጥታ ማነጋገር አልተቻለም።
"The victims have not yet received the promised assistance from federal and regional government offices, as well as from non-governmental institutions," – Telamit District Office for Disaster Prevention and Food Security Coordination.

Last year, due to a landslide disaster that destroyed their homes and properties, more than 150 residents of Abna Kebele in Telamit District, North Gondar Zone, who had been sheltered in a school building and a farmers’ training center, are still reported by the Abna Kebele Agriculture Office to be in severe difficulty.

According to Mr. Jejaw Birhane, head of the Abna Kebele Agriculture Office, on August 22, 2024 (Nehase 16, 2016 E.C.), the landslide that struck the kebele claimed the lives of 10 people, while 480 residents were displaced and relocated to stay in a school and a farmers’ training center.

Mr. Jejaw Birhane explained in detail:
"After that, at the time, they received daily assistance from both the government and individuals. However, after the month of Yekatit, they have not received any aid. Most of them moved to nearby areas. At present, around 150 residents are in extremely difficult conditions — they have nothing to eat, and their shelters are so cramped that they are exposed to the rain. Since last month, some have shown visible signs of starvation, including swollen feet and skin rashes, so they urgently need a solution. Their original area is prone to flooding, so they were told not to return. There were organizations that promised to build houses for them, and based on that, the district selected and prepared land, but the promising parties have not yet come."

Mr. Meseret Tilahun, head of the Telamit District Disaster Prevention and Food Security Early Warning Team, also stated:
"Currently, up to 25 people are living together in one farmers’ training center building, under very difficult conditions. The victims were previously farmers, and after being displaced, it was said that land and housing would be provided so they could return to farming, but nothing has been done for them. They have been fully dependent on aid for a whole year. Both governmental and non-governmental organizations that made promises have not kept them."

Mr. Selam Yehun Mulat, head of the Zonal Disaster Prevention and Food Security Coordination Office, explained that although the regional government had provided food aid, and the Federal Disaster Risk Management Commission had promised to resettle them, the promise was left unfulfilled for the entire year.

The Amhara Region Disaster Risk Management and Leadership Commission Commissioner, Deacon Tesfaw Batabel, told Tikvah Ethiopia that the Federal Disaster Risk Management Commission has not abandoned its promise and that they are still working together to fulfill the commitment.

Tikvah Ethiopia attempted to contact the victims by phone, but due to the lack of telephone connectivity in the area where they are located, direct communication was not possible.
