በአማራ ክልል ትምህርት በተቋረጠባቸው አካባቢ ያሉ ወላጆች ተፋላሚዎችን እየተማፀኑ ነው።

የአማራ ክልል ትምህርት ቢሮ በተደጋጋሚ ባወጣው መረጃ በአማራ ክልል በመንግስት ሀይሎችና በፋኖ ቡድን ታጣቂዎች መካከል ባለው ግጭት የተነሳ ላለፉት 2 ዓመታት በሚልዮን የሚቆጠሩ ህፃናትና ታዳጊዎች ከትምህርት ገበታ ውጭ ሆነዋል ብሏል።

የአማራ ክልል ትምህርት ቢሮ መረጃ እንደሚያመለክተው ባለፈው አመት ማለትም  በ2016 ዓ.ም 6.2 ሚልየን ተማሪዎችን ለመመዝገብ ቢያቅድም 3.7 ሚልየን ብቻ  ተመዝግቧል።

እንደገና በዚህ አመት 2017 ዓ.ም 7 ሚልየን ተማሪዎችን ለመመዝገብ ቢያቅድም 2.8 ተማሪዎችን ብቻ መዝግቧል፤ ቀሪ 4.1 ሚልየን ተማሪ ከትምህርት ገበታ ውጭ ሆኖ ከርሟል።

ቀጣይ ዓመትስ ? የወላጆች ትልቅ የራስ ምታት ሆኗል።

ለቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ አስተያየታቸውን የሰጡት በምዕስራቅ ጎጃም ዞን ስናን ወረዳ " ካልቻባ " ቀበሌ የሚኖሩ ስማቸውን መጥቀስ ያልፈለጉ አንድ አርሶ አደር እንደሚሉት በወረዳው በአብዛኛው አካባቢ ትምህርት ከተቋረጠ 2 ዓመታት ሆኖታል፤ ልጆቻቸው ከቤት መዋል ሰልችቷቸው ለጉልበት ስራ ፍለጋ ወደ ከተማ እየተሰደዱ ነው።

ከተማ ከሄዱ በኃላም ሥራ እንዳላገኙና በከፋ ችግር ውስጥ እንዳሉ እየነገሯቸው እንደሆነ ጠቁመዋል። ሥራ ፍለጋ ብለው ለሄዱት እያሳሰቡ እንደሆነና ታናናሾቹም በሚቀጥለው ዓመት ትምህርት ካልተጀመረ ምን እንደሚያደርጓቸው ግራ መጋባታቸውን ገልፀዋል።

ሁለቱ ተፋላሚ ሀይሎች ተመካክረው ዘዴ ካላመጡ ለ3ኛ ዓመት ከትምህርት ውጭ የሆኑ ተስፋ አልባ የሆኑ በርካታ ልጆችን ሰብስቦ መቀመጥ እጅግ ከባድ ነው ብለዋል።

በሰሜን ጎጃም ጎንጂ ቆለላ ነዋሪ የሆኑ ሌላ አርሶ አደር ደግሞ ከትምህርት ውጭ የሆኑ ሴት ሆነ ወንድ ልጆች ያለ እድሜያቸው እየተዳሩ እንደሆነ ገልጸዋል።

እኚሁ አርሶ አደር " ምን ሆነ መሰላችሁ ከኛ የተሻለ ትውልድ ሳይሆን የኛን ዘመን እየደገምን ነው።  ያልተማረ ደሀ አርሶ አደር እኛ የጠላነውን ህይወታችንን ለልጆቻችን እያወረስን ነው። ለከርሞ መፍትሄ እንዲመጣ የሚመለከተው አካል ቢያስብበት " ሲሉ ተናግረዋል።

ሌላው በምዕራብ ጎጃም ዞን ደጋ ዳሞት ወረዳ ፈረስ ቤት አካባቢ የሚኖሩ የ3 ሴቶችና የሁለት ወንዶች አባት የሆኑት አርሶ አደር ለቲክቫህ ኢትዮጵያ አስተያየታቸውን ሲናገሩ " እያሳለፍን ያለውን ችግር መናገር አልፈልግም አሁን የምንማፀነው ለወደፊቱ ነው። መንግስትም ሆነ ታጣቂው ሀይል ይስማሙልን ብቻ ነው የምለው። አንስማማም ካሉ በሚቀጥለው ዓመት ልጆቻችን ትምህርት የሚያገኙበት ዕድል ይፍጠሩልን ነው ተማፅኗችን " ብለዋል።

በአማራ ክልል 3629 ትምህርት ቤቶች ተዘግተው መክረማቸውን ከክልሉ ትምህርት ቢሮ ያገኘነው መረጃ ያመላክታል።

“I don’t want to dwell on the problems we have been through; what matters now is the future!”

Parents in parts of the Amhara region where education has been disrupted are appealing to stakeholders for solutions.

According to repeated reports from the Amhara Regional Education Bureau, due to the conflict between government forces and Fano armed groups, millions of children and youths have been out of school for the past two years.

In 2016 E.C. (2023/24), although the plan was to enroll 6.2 million students, only 3.7 million registered.

In 2017 E.C. (2024/25), while the target was 7 million, only 2.8 million enrolled — leaving 4.1 million children out of school.

This has become a major concern for parents as the next school year approaches.

A farmer from Kalchaba kebele, Sinan district of East Gojjam Zone, who asked not to be named, told Tikvah Ethiopia that schools in most parts of the district have been closed for two years. As a result, many children have dropped out and migrated to towns in search of labor. He added that those who went to towns did not find jobs and are now in serious difficulties. He also expressed worry about what will happen to the younger ones if schooling does not resume next year.

He stressed that unless the two warring sides reach an agreement, forcing countless hopeless children to remain out of school for a third consecutive year would be unbearable.

Another farmer from Gonji Kolela district in North Gojjam said children — both girls and boys — are growing up without education or prospects, warning:
“Instead of raising a better generation, we are only repeating our own lives. As uneducated poor farmers, we are passing down the very life we hated to our children. Authorities must think of a solution to this crisis.”

Likewise, a father of five (three daughters and two sons) from Feres Bet area in Dega Damot district, West Gojjam Zone, told Tikvah Ethiopia:
“I don’t want to talk about the problems we’ve gone through; what matters is the future. My only plea is that both the government and the fighters come to an agreement. If they cannot agree, at least let them create an opportunity for our children to learn in the coming year.”

According to information from the regional Education Bureau, 3,629 schools have been shut down in the Amhara region.
