የገንዘብ ሚኒስትር አሕመድ ሺዴ ለህዝብ ተወካዮች ምክርቤት በሰጡት ማብራሪያ ከ2018 ረቂቅ በጀት ፦
➡️ 1.2 ትሪሊዮን ብር ለመደበኛ ወጪ፣
➡️ 415 ቢሊዮን ብር ለካፒታል ወጪ፣
➡️ 315 ቢሊዮን ብር ለክልል መንግስታት ድጋፍ
➡️ 14 ቢሊዮን ብር ለክልሎች የዘላቂ ልማት ግቦች ማስፈፀሚያ ድጋፍ የሚውል እንደሆነ ገልጸዋል።

ከረቂቅ በጀቱ ፦
🔴 1 ትሪሊዮን ብር ወይም 73 በመቶውን ከታክስ ገቢ
🔴 236 ቢሊዮን ብር ከልማት አጋሮች ቀሪውን ደግሞ ከፕሮጀክቶች ድጋፍ እና ልዩ ልዩ ገቢዎች ለማግኘት መታቀዱን ተናግረዋል።

በረቂቅ በጀቱ ከጥቅል ሀገራዊ ምርት አንፃር ያልተጣራ የበጀት ጉድለት 2.2 በመቶ እንዲሁም የተጣራ የበጀት ጉድለት 1 በመቶ መሆኑንም የገንዘብ ሚኒስትሩ አስረድተዋል።

መንግስት የበጀት ጉድለቱን በቀጥታ ከብሔራዊ ባንክ ብድር በመውሰድ ሳይሆን በግምጃ ቤት ሰነድ ሽያጭ እንደሚሸፍን ፤ በ2018 በጀት ዓመት የ8.9 በመቶ የኢኮኖሚ እድገት እንደሚጠበቅ መናገራቸው ብሔራዊ ቴሌቪዥን ዘግቧል The budget for 2018 is set at 1.93 trillion Birr, and it is reported that 73% of this budget is expected to be generated from tax revenues.

During a briefing to members of parliament, Finance Minister Ahmed Shide outlined the following allocations in the 2018 budget:

1.2 trillion Birr for regular expenditures
415 billion Birr for capital expenditures
315 billion Birr for regional government support
14 billion Birr for regional sustainable development projects
From the budget:

1 trillion Birr, or 73% of the tax revenue
236 billion Birr will be allocated for supporting development projects and generating special revenues.
In terms of the overall budget deficit, the Finance Minister indicated that the budget deficit will be 2.2% of GDP, and the total budget deficit is expected to be 1%.

The government plans to cover the budget deficit not directly through borrowing from the national bank but rather through bond sales. It is projected that the economy will grow by 8.9% during the 2018 budget year.
