ነገ መስከረም 16 ቀን 2018 ዓ/ም በመስቀል አደባባይ ከሚከበረው የመስቀል ደመራ በዓል ጋር በተያያዘ ለተሽከርካሪ ዝግ የሚሆኑ መንገዶችን የአዲስ አበባ ፖሊስ ጠቅላይ መምሪያ ይፋ አደርጓል።

በዚህም መሠረት ፦

- ከቅዱስ ኡራኤል አደባባይ ወደ መስቀል አደባባይ የሚወስደው መንገድ ቅዱስ ኡራኤል አደባባይ፣

- ከቦሌ አቅጣጫ ወደ መስቀል አደባባይ ለሚመጡ ተሽከርካሪዎች ኦሎምፒያ አደባባይ ላይና ታች እንዲሁም ግራና ቀኝ፣

- ከመስቀል ፍላወር ወደ ኦሎምፒያ የሚወስደው መንገድ ጋዜቦ አደባባይ፣

- ከአጎና ሲኒማ ወደ መስቀል አደባባይ ለከባድ ተሽከርካሪ አጎና ሲኒማ አጠገብ እንዲሁም ለቀላል ተሽከርካሪ ጥላሁን አደባባይ (አራተኛ ክፍለ ጦር)፣

- ከለገሀር መብራት ወደ መስቀል አደባባይ ለገሀር መብራት፣

- ከቴሌ ማቋረጫ ወደ ስታድዮም ለሚጓዙ ቴሌ ማቋረጫ፣

- ከራስ ሆቴል ወደ ስታድየም ለሚመጡ ተሽከርካሪዎች ራስ ሆቴል፣

- ከሐራምቤ መብራት ወይም ከአምባሳደር ሲኒማ ወደ መስቀል አደባባይ ሃራምቤ መብራት፣

- ከብሔራዊ ቤተ መንግስት ወደ መስቀል አደባባይ የሚወስደው መንገድ ብሔራዊ ቤተ መንግስት አጠገብ፣

- ከዛንቺስ ሼል ወደ ባምቢስ የሚወስደው መንገድ ከዛንቺስ ሼል አጠገብ፣

- ከጁፒተር ሆቴል ወደ ECA የሚወሰደው መንገድ ባምቢስ ሳልኮት ህንፃ አጠገብ ከነገ መስከረም 16 ቀን 2018 ዓ/ም ከረፋዱ 4፡00 ሰዓት ጀምሮ እስከ መርሀ ግብሩ ፍፃሜ ድረስ መንገድ ይዘጋል።

በተገለፁት መስመሮች ላይ ተሽከርካሪዎችን ለአጭርም ይሁን ለረዥም ጊዜ ማቆም የተከለከለ መሆኑን ፖሊስ አሳስቧል።

አሽከርካሪዎች አማራጭ መንገዶችን እንዲጠቀሙ ጥሪ ቀርቧል።

ህብረተሰቡ ለፀጥታ ስጋት የሆኑ አጠራጣሪ ነገሮች ሲያጋጥሙት በ011-1-11-01-11 እንዲሁም በ991 ነፃ የስልክ መስመር ጥቆማ እንዲሰጥ ጥሪ ተላልፏል።


Addis Ababa Police Announce Road Closures for Meskel Demera Festival

Addis Ababa Police Commission has announced road closures for vehicles on Meskerem 16, 2018 E.C. (September 26, 2025) in connection with the Meskel Demera celebration at Meskel Square.

Accordingly, the following routes will be closed:

From St. Urael Square to Meskel Square (St. Urael Square)

From Bole direction to Meskel Square (at Olympia Square — both upper and lower, left and right turns)

From Meskel Flower to Olympia (at Gazebo Square)

From Agona Cinema to Meskel Square (for heavy vehicles near Agona Cinema, for light vehicles at Tilahun Square, 4th Division)

From Legahar traffic light to Meskel Square (Legahar traffic light)

From Tele terminal to Stadium (Tele terminal)

From Ras Hotel to Stadium (Ras Hotel)

From Harembee traffic light or Ambassador Cinema to Meskel Square (Harembee traffic light)

From the National Palace to Meskel Square (near the National Palace)

From Zanches Shell to Bambis (near Zanches Shell)

From Jupiter Hotel to ECA (near Bambis Salcot Building)

⏰ These roads will be closed starting from 10:00 a.m. tomorrow until the conclusion of the ceremony.

Police also stated that parking vehicles — whether short-term or long-term — on these routes is strictly prohibited.

Drivers are urged to use alternative routes.

The public has also been called upon to report any suspicious activities that may pose a security risk by calling 011-1-11-01-11 or the toll-free line 991.
